About

Our firm has been blessed to work with Well-being Specialist, Kayla Pates. A Specialist with over 17 years of experience supporting whole-person health. Her experience and wholistic approach to stress-management and health promotion have been invaluable to our team here at William Kirby Law. We accordingly are excited to refer Kayla to our community of friends and patrons.

As a certified yoga teacher, yoga therapist, health coach, health education specialist, and holistic stress management instructor, she is passionate about using all the tools in her toolbox to help her clients manage stress, build resilience, and improve their overall well-being.

Kayla takes an evidence-based, holistic-minded, and compassionate approach to empowering others on their journey toward a healthier life. She uses techniques and practices from the traditions of yoga and mindfulness – as well as the professions of health promotion, education, and coaching – to help her clients nurture their well-being, cope with life’s challenges, and find inner peace. Understanding that this path is unique for each person, Kayla seeks to facilitate transformational change in a way that meets her clients where they are and helps them reach their own unique well-being goals.

Kayla received her associate’s degree in Biology from Burlington County College, where she gained a solid foundation for understanding the science of the body. She then went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in Religion with a minor in Psychology from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, where she deepened her understanding of the mind and the philosophical underpinnings of yoga, mindfulness, and meditation. She earned her master’s degree in Health Promotion and Community Health Education from Maryland University of Integrative Health, where she enhanced her expertise in creating and implementing effective, evidence-based, and holistic-minded programs to improve health and well-being for groups, individuals, and communities.

In her free time, Kayla enjoys spending time with her family, walking in nature, hiking and visiting National Parks, reading, and exploring new places and cuisines. She resides in New Jersey with her partner and their two children.
